Former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn has agreed to a minor-league contract with the Cleveland Guardians, according to Robert Murray of FanSided. The deal includes an invite to big league Spring Training.
Quinn was non-tendered by the Phillies last offseason, ultimately landing a minor-league deal with the Miami Marlins. But after he failed to make their Opening Day roster, Quinn returned to the Phillies organization. Quinn would play in 23 games for the Phillies in 2022, with his lightning-fast speed helping the Phillies to steal a victory on May 22 over the Los Angeles Dodgers:
The Phillies would designate Quinn for assignment as part of an early-June roster crunch, and before the season was out, he would also spend time in the Kansas City Royals and Tampa Bay Rays organizations.
