Phillies manager Rob Thomson hinted after Wednesday’s game that he was ready to drop Alec Bohm in the batting order. When asked by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Corey Seidman if he is considering hitting Nick Castellanos, who is on a hot streak, higher in the lineup, Thomson smiled and said, “We’ll see tomorrow.”
Lo and behold, Castellanos is batting cleanup behind Bryce Harper in Thursday’s finale against the Atlanta Braves. Bohm, who is batting .178 with a .396 OPS on the year, drops to seventh. J.T. Realmuto is ahead of Bohm at sixth.
