The Mets are coming into town this week and I don’t think it can be stressed enough how big it is for the Phillies that Jacob deGrom isn’t going to be here. Our own Smarty Jones will have a more in-depth preview, but with deGrom’s injury putting him out for at least two months, it’s huge that the team take advantage of the Mets’ ace’s absence and beat up on them for now. They still have Max Scherzer, sure, but only having to face one ace instead of two in a three games series is pretty big.
