If you had said that the Dodgers were going to have quality starting pitching from their first three starters in this series, it would have swayed the opinion of many of how this series was going to go. The Dodgers always had the better lineup. Their bullpen was arguably deeper than the Yankees. It was the in the rotation where the Yankees were going to have the advantage, where they could exploit Los Angeles.
Once the Dodgers’ starts from Jack Flaherty, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler turned into high quality outings, this series was over.
