PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies have traded pitcher Jesse Biddle to the Pirates, according to a report from Matt Gelb. It is unknown what the Phillies will receive in return for Biddle.
Biddle, who is from Philadelphia and Germantown Friends School, was designated for assigment on Friday giving the Phils 10 days to trade, release, or waive him.
The 24-year-old left-handed pitcher will miss the entire 2016 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
