During a typical season for a major league team, the final two or three spots on the roster are often a revolving door. Due to injury, ineffectiveness, or just an attempt to shake things up, there will be a handful of players who get called up, make a few inconsequential appearances, and then get sent back down, prompting a “Who was that guy?” from fans who look back at the roster a few years later.
But every once in a while, these “Quad A” players will have a shining moment during their brief stay in the major leagues.
