Baseball seasons are long. There are so many games, each one its own story that fits in the book that comprises the season. Some of the stories are good, some are bad. It’s just how baseball works and why it is the best sport around.
Ricardo Pinto had one of those stories early in the season. He had not pitched in the major leagues since 2019, but when the Phillies were a bit thin at the position, he came in for one night and performed one of the rarer feats around.
