Early in a game that turned into a disappointing extra-inning loss for the Double-A Reading Fightins, the team lost its lead-off man to an apparent upper leg injury.
Center fielder Roman Quinn was en route to first base, running out his second hit of the night in the bottom of the second inning in Friday’s contest against Akron, when he began clutching his upper left leg. Quinn could not put weight on the leg and was assisted off the field, according to Reading Eagle reporter Mike Drago, who also updated that the team’s manager Dusty Wathan did not provide any official word on the ailment following the game.
