After securing a winning record the night before, the Phillies returned to their lifeless ways on Saturday night as they got one game closer to the end of another playoff-less season. They had almost twice as many strikeouts as hits, and scored just a single run. But at least they had the courtesy to lose quickly, completing the 3-1 loss to the Marlins in under three hours.
The Phillies went with another bullpen game, but the trio of pitchers they used pitched admirably. Hans Crouse started the game, and lasted four innings. Overall he did well, but he made one major mistake to Jazz Chisholm.
