PHILADELPHIA -- This time the Phillies came back and finished the job.
It took an incredibly long time to do it, but one night after the Phillies battled back from an early deficit only to lose the game in the ninth inning, the Phillies earned a walk-off 7-4 victory in 16 innings over the Dodgers on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park. After Jorge Alfaro hit a game-tying, two-run homer in the seventh, the Phillies and Dodgers did not score again until the 16th.
Dodgers position player Enrique Hernandez pitched the 16th.
