The postseason is a sprint of short sample sizes drawing franchise-changing moments. Kyle Schwarber had 57 plate appearances last postseason as the Phillies leadoff hitter. There aren’t going to be a lot of chances so each moment is worth so much more.
It’s fun to develop predictions for how each player will do when the samples are so small. Anything can happen in October so certain numbers will either be thrown into the garbage or a certain trend will be brought into the spotlight.
So Ethan Witte and I will choose a player we each like for the postseason and one we don’t.
