Pivetta baffles O's in 11-K outing as Phils win

BALTIMORE -- Phillies right-hander Nick Pivetta had one of the best starts of his career Wednesday afternoon in a 4-1 victory over the Orioles at Camden Yards.

Pivetta tied a career high with 11 strikeouts, generating 23 swings and misses on 99 pitches as the Phillies improved to 24-16. It is the first time Philadelphia has been eight games above .500 since the end of the 2011 season.
