PHILADELPHIA -- A five-run fifth inning powered the Phillies to a 7-3 win over the Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, the Phillies are 10-2-1 in their last 13 series. The win increased Philadelphia's lead in the National League East to 1 1/2 games, and sealed the season series, four games to three, over the Dodgers, who came in Wednesday with the second-best record in baseball since May 26. The two teams could meet again in October, and the Phillies have to like what they've done against the team many consider the favorite to win the National League.
