PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies smashed four home runs Monday night in an 11-0 victory over the Giants at Citizens Bank Park, but Zach Eflin got a standing ovation as he left the mound in the top of the seventh inning.
Eflin pitched one of the best games of his 24-start career, allowing just four hits and three walks while striking out a career-high nine batters in 6 2/3 scoreless innings. Eflin has allowed just one run in 12 2/3 innings since taking Ben Lively's spot in the rotation last week.
Odubel Herrera homered twice, picking up a career-high five RBIs.
