This year supposedly was Phillippe Aumont's last chance with the Phillies.
After three years of call-ups and setbacks as a reliever and out of options, Aumont earned a conversion to the IronPigs rotation back in late April.
Less than two months later, Aumont is getting a shot to start in the major leagues — something he's never done in his previous 45 appearances with the Phillies.
"It's another opportunity that I'm really grateful for," Aumont said. "I worked hard. Can't say it's going to be the prettiest thing, but I'm definitely going to go up there and keep working hard and do the best I can.
