On Saturday, July 31, Philadelphia Phillies minor leaguer Daniel Brito suffered a medical emergency during the first inning of a game against the Rochester Red Wings, the Washington Nationals’ affiliate.
The game and subsequent games of the series were suspended, while Brito needed emergency surgery Saturday night and a second surgery on Sunday.
