PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies have traded right-handed pitcher Alec Asher to the Orioles for a player to be named later, the team announced on Tuesday.
Asher, 25, was traded to the Phillies in July of 2015 as part of the Cole Hamels package.
Asher was 2-1 with a 2.28 ERA in five starts last season with the Phils. Asher was suspended for 80 games on June 16, 2016, for violating MLB’s drug policy after testing positive for chlorodehydromethyltestosterone.
