Phillies top prospect Roman Quinn, sidelined since mid-June with a left quad strain, will not return to Double-A Reading this season. According to Phillies Nation, Phillies director of player development Joe Jordan noted improved in Quinn's condition, but the team is taking the cautionary approach with their speedy outfielder.
According to Phillies’ director of player development Joe Jordan, the 22-year-old switch hitter is progressing well after injuring his hip on June 12th and he could be available in time for Reading’s potential post-season run, but instead the organization prefers for Quinn to take things slowly, for his long term benefit.
