The Phillies have several hitters mashing in the minor-leagues, and one of those hitters is Rhys Hoskins. In 95 Triple-A games, Hoskins has a .281/.376/.550 line with 20 home runs and 68 RBI.
Hoskins has been on a bit of cold spell recently, posting a .509 OPS in July. Despite that, he’s been having a solid season overall and a promotion to the majors should come soon.
The only reason the team hasn’t promoted Hoskins yet is because they have Tommy Joseph as the everyday starter at first base. However, his numbers this year haven’t warranted protection from promoting Hoskins.
