Matt Klentak shouldn’t expect to get much sleep this offseason.
While pitching is priority No. 1 this offseason, The Athletic’s Jayson Stark indicated some the Philadelphia Phillies plans for the infield this offseason:
All signs have pointed to Franco’s tenure in Philadelphia coming to an end after 2019, and it comes as no surprise that the team is looking to either trade or non-tender him. It has certainly been a bit more unclear regarding Hernandez’s future with the team, but his projected figure of $11.8 million in arbitration is certainly high for a player of his status and could make him more difficult to trade.
