Well that was disappointing.
After only six pitches for David Buchanan in the first half inning, followed by a ten pitch 2nd inning, and a nine pitch 3rd inning, the first base runner for the Braves came on a walk in the 4th inning during a nine pitch at bat. David only needed 13 pitches in the inning though, despite the runner, to finish out the inning.
The offense saw Ryan Howard hit his second home run to straight away center making it a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Buchanan would give up his first hit to Johnny Gomes in the top of the 5th inning, but after another quick 14 pitch inning, Buchanan stranded the runner on third base and kept the score at 2-0, Phillies.
