Phillies sign first round draft pick Bryson Stott

The Phillies have agreed to a deal with 2019 first round draft pick Bryson Stott. Specifics of the deal have not been released yet, but there will be a press conference today to make it official.

The 21-year-old short stop out of the University of Nevada Las Vegas was the 14th overall selection in early June. Over three seasons with UNLV he hit .340/.433/.515 with 61 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs and 97 RBIs. Ten of those homers were in the 2019 season. He also had a career .961 fielding percentage.

The 6’3, 200lb left-handed hitter has been compared defensively to San Francisco Giants All-Star Brandon Crawford.
