With the 10th overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, the Phillies selected Cornelius Randolph, a high school shortstop out of Griffin High School in Georgia.
Randolph isn’t expected to stick at shortstop. In fact, a position change could come right away, either to third base or to a corner outfield spot. A left-handed hitter, Randolph has garnered praise for quick bat speed and an ability to hit with authority to all fields. ESPN’s Keith Law calls Randolph “one of the best pure hitters in the class”.
