Friday, January 24: Phillies among teams to scout Max Scherzer
Free agent right-hander Max Scherzer threw for teams earlier this week. The Phillies, according to a report from Pat Ragazzo from Sports Illustrated, were among the teams with scouts in attendance.
The Phillies have no openings in the rotation with Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Cristopher Sánchez, Ranger Suárez and Jesús Luzardo locked in as the starting five.
