TORONTO – In an occurrence that has become all too common for Roman Quinn, the Phillies outfielder was out of the lineup Sunday afternoon due to an injury.
Quinn aggravated his left hamstring on Saturday when he dove for a ball in left field. He said his leg got caught in the artificial turf at the Rogers Centre, which caused his hamstring to twinge. His injury comes just as recorded his fourth-straight two-hit game. He's been a spark in the lineup and is pushing for a bigger role. An injury could not come at a worse time.
Phillies manager Gabe Kapler told Quinn to be honest with his injuries after the team promoted him from triple A.
