The overhaul of the Phillies player development system has taken another step, as the organization reportedly selected a new minor-league field coordinator on Tuesday.
Longtime coach and instructor Kevin Bradshaw will take the position for the Phillies, according to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia. He has prior experience in the role, serving as Detroit’s minor-league field coordinator in 2011 and 2012. Bradshaw will replace Chris Truby, who spent three seasons as Phillies minor-league field coordinator.
Prior to his first go-around as field coordinator, Bradshaw, 58, played four seasons in the Tigers system before beginning to coach for the organization in 1990.
