After searching for a new manager for almost four weeks, it appears the Phillies are close on hiring their next manager.
According to a report by Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Philadelphia is “zeroing in” on Dusty Wathan as their next manager.

Wathan was one of three internal candidates the team fist interviewed at the start of this search. Third base coach Juan Samuel, assistant to the general manager Jorge Velandia, and several others were all also interviewed.
