Statutory rape allegations against former Phillies star Pete Rose has caused Philadelphia to scramble heading into Alumni Weekend. With Rose no longer being inducted this weekend, or honored in any way, the team will instead honor their past inductees.
As the team takes the field Thursday night, a moment of silence will be had in honor of Darren Daulton, who passed away Sunday evening. Daulton, inducted onto the Wall of Fame in 2010, led the 1993 Phillies to the National League pennant.
Saturday evening, the Rose ceremony will be replaced with the recognition of previously inducted Wall of Famers.
