Phillies place 23rd in Baseball America farm system rankings

The Philadelphia Phillies farm system was ranked 23rd of 30 clubs, as Baseball Americareleased the 2022 edition of its Major League Baseball organization talent rankings.

With two prospects ranked in the site’s top 100, Mick Abel (51) and Bryson Stott (67), the Phillies moved up from last year’s rankings but still find themselves in the bottom third of the league. The team was ranked No. 27 in 2021 and No. 26 the year before.

Baseball America acknowledged that Abel and 2021 first rounder Andrew Painter are talented high-end pitching prospects at the lower levels, the Phillies lack impact talent in the upper minors aside from Stott.
