Enyel De Los Santos will be called up for the Phillies to start on Tuesday against the New York Mets. De Los Santos is the Phillies 11th-best prospect and sixth pitching prospect in the organization.
East Village Times writer James E. Clark was the first to report of De Los Santos’ promotion Sunday night, and IronPigs beat writer for The Morning Call Tom Housenick later confirmed the news.
To make room for De Los Santos on the 25-man roster the club sent Drew Anderson, who started on Sunday, back to Lehigh Valley. Pedro Florimon, who is recovering from a broken foot, was moved to the 60-day disabled list to make room on the 40-man roster.
