After being designated for assignment on 6/20, RHP Phillippe Aumont has elected to become a free agent.
Aumont could have accepted his assignment and returned to pitching with the Phillies’ AAA affiliate in Lehigh Valley.
Aumont was called up to the Phillies to make a start for Cole Hamels who was unable to make a schedule appearance. In that lone start, Aumont pitched just four innings.
