I guess Chris Christie won’t be buying Phillies season tickets.
On Wednesday night, the Republican New Jersey governor went on SportsNet New York’s “Baseball Night” and had some harsh words for Phils fans and the team painting the famous Tug McGraw phrase “Ya Gotta Believe” on one of the walls inside their spring training complext in Clearwater.
“The Phillies suck,” the governor said. “Let's just start with that. They're from Philadelphia. They're an awful team. They're an angry, bitter fan base and it's not safe for civilized people to go to Citizens Bank Park if you want to root for the other team.
