This four game home-and-home series between the Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays moved south from Canada to South Philly, but the outcome was the same as yesterday afternoon.
The Blue Jays blasted the Phillies by a 7-2 score on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park, and have now outscored the Fightin’ Phils by 18-5 after the Phils took the opener by 7-0. Close games are apparently not a signature of this matchup.
Toronto undeniably has a more powerful, veteran-laden lineup, and that fact reared its head once again tonight.
The Jays roped around Phillies starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, who allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks over six innings.
