Phillies outfield takes another hit as Castellanos leaves game early

PHILADELPHIA — A couple of injuries have turned an already bleak Phillies outfield situation into somewhat of a disaster.

Brandon Marsh, who is stuck in an 0-for-31 slump, was out of the lineup after tweaking his knee trying to field a ball that took a weird bounce in center during Wednesday’s loss. He was sent away to be examined by a team doctor.

A few hours later, Nick Castellanos left the game early in the top of the seventh due to left hip flexor tightness. Given the shortage of depth behind him and the lack of stability at the other two outfield spots, a Castellanos IL stint could be an unfortunate development.
