PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies are hoping for better success on the road than they just had at home.
After losing five of seven on their just completed homestand, which wrapped up with an ugly 9-3 loss last night to Miami, the Phillies tonight open a ten-game road trip with the first of three in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.
Right-hander Zach Eflin will get the start on the mound for the Phillies. The rookie is 2-3 with a 4.14 ERA. In his last start, Eflin lost to the Mets despite pitching pretty good baseball. In six innings, he allowed three runs in six innings of work.
