Phillies Open Final Series Before Break In San Francisco

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies will open their final series before the Major League Baseball All-Star Break tonight as they play the first of three in San Francisco against the Giants.

The Phils just finished a series in Los Angeles where they lost three of four to the Dodgers. They actually haven’t scored a run since Tuesday as they were shutout the last two nights by Clayton Kershaw (complete game) and Zack Grienke (eight innings, one-hit ball).

A good pitching match-up on tap in this series opener against the Giants. Cole Hamels will throw for the Phillies.
