In addition to announcing that reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper will be activated Friday, interim manager Rob Thomson issued a variety of other injury updates before Thursday evening’s series finale against the Cincinnati Reds.
- Center fielder Brandon Marsh (left ankle sprain, left knee bruise) will DH at Lehigh Valley Thursday night, before playing in the outfield Friday. If all goes well, the 24-year-old could return to the Phillies on Saturday.
- Zach Eflin (right knee) threw on flat ground today and has “felt good” the last few days, per Rob Thomson.
