The Phillies attempted to brave the weather and ended up losing that battle. Saturday's game with the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park that began at 3:05 p.m. lasted just an inning and a half, with no score. After a 1-hour, 27-minute delay, the game was postponed.
The teams will play a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1:05 p.m. (Sunday's game was originally scheduled to start at 1:35.) Fans holding tickets to Saturday's postponed game may exchange them for tickets to any remaining home games this year, including Sunday's doubleheader.
Phillies righthander Kevin Correia will oppose Nationals righthander Stephen Strasburg in the first game.
