It was a phone call that Adam Morgan said he had dreamed about: calling his father to tell him he was headed to the major leagues. His father, Wiley, pitched at Alabama and coached Morgan until he was 13. That dream became reality on Friday, when Morgan called his father to tell him he was pitching Sunday for the Phillies.
"He was like, 'Well that's one hell of a Father's Day present,' " Morgan said before Saturday's game against St. Louis. "He couldn't believe it. It's really special. He told me I worked my butt off and deserved it.
