Phillies Notebook: Majority of Phillies coaching staff asked to return

FOLLOWING yesterday's season-ending win over Miami, the Phillies announced that the majority of manager Pete Mackanin's coaching staff has been asked to return in 2016.

Bench coach Larry Bowa, first base coach Juan Samuel, pitching coach Bob McClure and hitting coach Steve Henderson have all been offered contracts for next season, while bullpen catchers Bob Stumpo and Jesus Tiamo have also been asked to return.

It's unclear if everyone will return: Samuel, interviewed but passed over for the managing job in the last month, could seek a job elsewhere.
