Entering the night on a two-game losing streak and losing six out of their last 10, the Phillies needed to find a way to turn things around. However, their next opponent, the Los Angeles Dodgers, wouldn’t make that so easy. The Dodgers came into Citizens Bank Park hot, winning seven of their last 10.
Charlie Manuel saw there was a need to change up the top of the lineup as Jimmy Rollins struggled in the previous series against the Braves going 2-for-15.
