Phillies: Mitch Walding named Triple-A player of the month

After a tremendous month of July, Minor League Baseball named Phillies farmhand Mitch Walding Triple-A player of the month.

In 22 games with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Walding had a .326/.414/.733 line with 10 home runs, 26 runs batted in, 21 runs scored, and 63 total bases. He led the International League in home runs, runs scored, and total bases in July.

Walding had several great single-game performances throughout the month. He had 10 multi-hit games and three multi-homer games in the month. The high point of the month came on July 28 when Walding hit three home runs, a double, and drove in 10 runs in a doubleheader.
