Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Wednesday, May 13:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A
Phillippe Aumont turned in the longest start of his career, but the IronPigs could not take care of business against the Columbus Clippers, falling 3-2 in 12 innings. Aumont went seven scoreless innings, allowing just five hits and striking out seven batters.
Lehigh Valley took a 1-0 lead into the top of the ninth inning but gave up a run on a throwing error by pitcher Tyler Knigge. Alex Lavisky hit a home-run in the top of the 10th inning for Columbus, but the IronPigs countered with a Maikel Franco RBI in the bottom of the frame, extending the game even further.
