Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Saturday, July 4:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A
Aaron Nola did not have one of his best starts of his young career, but it was enough to lead Lehigh to a 4-3 win over Rochester. Nola gave up nine hits resulting in three runs and earned a no decision. He struck out six and did not walk any batters. All of his runs came in the fourth inning.
Luckily for Nola, the IronPigs offense scored two runs in the eighth inning to spare him a loss.
