Phillies Minor League Report: Mark Leiter strikes out nine in Reading loss

Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Thursday, July 30:

Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A

The IronPigs fell, 3-2, to the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at Coca-Cola Park.

Starter Cesar Jimenez pitched three innings and allowed three runs on five hits. Jimenez lost his fifth game for the IronPigs.

Right fielder Tyler Henson went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.

Erik Kratz went 0-for-3 with a walk, strikeout and run scored.

Lehigh Valley is back in action Friday at 7:05 p.m.

Reading Fightin Phils – Double-A

Reading failed to capitalize on a strong start from Mark Leiter, falling 4-0 to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
