Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Sunday, July 19:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs (42-53) – Triple A
Despite taking an early lead, the IronPigs were forced to settle for a split with the Rochester Red Wings after taking a 6-2 loss at Frontier Field in Rochester, N.Y.
Chris McGguiness provided the IronPigs’ only two runs of the game after he hit a two-run homer during the top of the second inning. The homer was his second of the season.
Starting pitcher Severino Gonzalez started strong by keeping the Red Wings off the scoreboard during the first four innings, but ran into trouble starting in the fifth.
