Here’s how the Phillies’ minor league teams fared on Sunday, July 26:
Lehigh Valley IronPigs (46-56) – Triple A
The IronPigs were unable to complete a three-game sweep of the Syracuse Chiefs after suffering a 5-4 loss in 13 innings at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
The IronPigs and Chiefs went into extra innings tied, 4-4, and neither team plated a run until the top of the 13th when Syracuse shortstop/second baseman Jason Martinson hit a solo home run off Lehigh Valley pitcher Dalier Hinojosa to finally break the tie.
Hinojosa (3-2, 3.02 ERA) pitched two innings and gave up three hits.
