Phillies fans will now have a new way to watch their favorite team this season thanks to a new program. Major League Baseball and Facebook announced a partnership on Friday that will allow Facebook to stream 25 major league games this season through Facebook Watch on the MLB Live show Page.
All 30 teams unanimously approved the deal on Friday, creating the baseball’s first digital-only national broadcasts.
Facebook Watch and the MLB Live show Page will debut on Wednesday, April 4, with the Phillies visiting the Mets at 1:10 p.m. EST. Of the four games already scheduled to debut on Facebook Watch, Philadelphia will be featured twice; first against the Mets then three weeks later on April 26 when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks.
