Today was a deadline of sorts with the Phillies and their current roster. They wanted to head into Philadelphia without any questions about the roster. Having already settled the bullpen (more or less), they finally settled on the center field position and made some roster moves. After much consternation and discussion, the team released their moves.
Adam Haseley and Roman Quinn have won the center field job, sending Odubel Herrera to the alternate site to prepare for the minor league season. It was a spirited battle this spring with five contenders for the job if you want to count Scott Kingery and Travis Jankowski.
