- Austin Hays (kidney infection)
- Status: 10-day IL
- Hays was placed on the 10-day IL (retroactive to Sept. 2) on Sept. 5 with a kidney infection. Cal Stevenson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take his spot on the roster.
- Manager Rob Thomson told MLB.com that Hays is going back to Philadelphia for tests. The club originally thought they could knock it out with some antibiotics, but Hays “feels worse today.”
- “Obviously I’m not a doctor, but they’re telling me that it’s hard to tell how long it takes,” Thomson said.
